Ann Fouret and Fouret Farms are committed to happy healthy horses and happy confident riders! Ann's feelings are that horses should be allowed to be horses. That way when they are being asked to do their job they are more relaxed and willing. They are mentally and physically more "sound". Her training program is catered to each individual horse. They all are brought along at a pace and the program that helps them learn in a confidence building way. There are no quick fixes and corners cut along the way. She wants all training put into a horse to be solid and last it's lifetime not just through the next show. Ann's riders are brought along the same way as the horses. No short cuts, no being passengers. She teaches her students to be riders, they all have solid foundations and don't just learn how to jump and hold on. They are part of the team when bringing their horses along with training they learn how to deal with a problem and fix it. All riders are also allowed to learn at their own pace, and encouraged to move along at the pace THEY feel comfortable with. No pressure just what you feel comfortable with. All of Ann's students learn basic dressage as part of their education to becoming the best rider they can be. She feels flat work is very important for both horse and rider. When you overlook the basics you have no foundation. Ann feels that team work and barn support are very important, we have a wonderful atmosphere for people to feel like part of a team. The Carey's and the Two Hawks staff make everyone feel at home and like part of the family. We all like to have fun and enjoy our horses! All of the students enjoy cheering each other on weather it is at a show, or in a lesson.
Happy horses make happy riders!
